On May 29, social media posts reported that Xiaomi issued a discontinuation notice for the MiMo-V2-Pro/Omni models, stating that support for the older versions will officially end on June 30, 2026, to be succeeded by the MiMo V2.5 series. Specifically, the mimo-v2-pro will migrate to mimo-v2.5-pro, while the mimo-v2-omni will upgrade to a new model within the mimo-v2.5 line.
Xiaomi noted in the notice that the MiMo V2.5 series is now fully available and operating stably. This change is designed to encourage migration to the newer model version, which offers superior inference performance and greater cost efficiency. The company also thanked developers for their ongoing support of the MiMo open platform and recommended that affected users complete interface and business integration as soon as possible to avoid disruption when the service is eventually shut down.
Looking at the product trajectory, the MiMo V2.5 series shows Xiaomi is continuing to enhance model inference performance and platform integration capabilities.
