Having earned a Ph.D. in humanoid robotics from the Technical University of Munich and spent over a decade conducting research worldwide, Bren Pierce founded Kinisi Robotics. Under his leadership, the company has grown significantly, securing more than $180 million in funding and deploying over 10,000 robots across global operations.
Determined to close the gap between artificial intelligence systems and the physical world, he established Kinisi Robotics with the goal of overcoming the constraints imposed by traditional, rigid automation methods.
Currently headquartered in Bristol, UK, the company is accelerating development of its KR1 prototype. This robot leverages reinforcement learning to assist humans with dirty and repetitive industrial tasks while working alongside them.
