JD.com Launches JoyEgoCam UHD Data Terminal for Embodied Intelligence Training
On April 16, JD.com unveiled the JoyEgoCam, an ultra-high-definition data collection terminal, at the Embodied Intelligence Ecosystem Launch Event. Designed specifically for AI embodied intelligence training, this hardware product marks the application of ultra-high-definition data collection technology and is the world's first embodied intelligence data infrastructure to cover the entire workflow of data collection, storage, labeling, training, evaluation, simulation, and testing. It aims to create a complete closed-loop pathway from physical world data acquisition to model simulation and evaluation.

When it comes to technical specifications, the JoyEgoCam delivers robust industrial-grade performance. It features a dual-camera system with an ultra-wide field of view of 130 degrees in both vertical and horizontal directions, enabling high-resolution video recording at 2160x2160 at 60 FPS. This combination of high frame rate and resolution allows machines to capture extremely subtle motion trajectories and environmental changes during learning, meeting the rigorous demands of complex data collection and high-precision simulation and evaluation in embodied intelligence.
On a strategic level, JD.com launched the largest data collection initiative in human history last month. The plan has clear targets: to expand real-world video data to over 10 million hours within two years. As the AI competition shifts from parameter scale to high-quality data, JD.com's move aims to build a strong technological moat for the widespread commercialization of embodied intelligence by following the logic of "hardware defining data and data feeding models." This approach not only enhances the generalization ability of underlying algorithms but also accelerates the application of robot technology in warehousing, logistics, and multi-scenario services.
