Honeywell announced today the sale of its Warehouse and Workflow Solutions (WWS) business, which includes the Intelligrated and Transnorm brands, to American Industrial Partners (AIP), a private equity firm specializing in industrial investments.
The transaction is anticipated to close in the second half of 2026. Intelligrated and Transnorm are leading suppliers of supply chain and warehouse automation projects, products, and services, reporting roughly $935 million in revenue for 2025. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
WWS will integrate with AIP's existing investment in Trew Automation, forming a complementary and distinct platform to better serve a diverse range of industrial customers.
“With warehouse automation demand rising due to e-commerce growth, labor shortages, and supply chain digitization, WWS is ideally placed to leverage these market drivers,” stated Murray Grainger, a partner at AIP. “Rooted in the robust Intelligrated platform, the business brings together advanced technology, a wide installed base, and enduring customer partnerships. We are eager to collaborate with the WWS and Trew teams to develop a synergistic platform that amplifies these advantages and fuels the company's future growth.”
Honeywell Intelligrated delivers comprehensive warehouse automation and systems integration, employing a software-first strategy to tackle labor shortages, increasing costs, and throughput requirements. Its portfolio includes projects, services, and products like automated sortation systems, palletizers, conveyors, robotics solutions, alongside aftermarket services and software.
A look back at Intelligrated and Transnorm under Honeywell
Honeywell finalized its acquisition of Intelligrated from private equity firm Permira on August 30, 2016. The deal, initially announced on July 1, 2016, was valued at approximately $1.5 billion. Reports at the time indicated Honeywell outbid other industrial giants, including Toyota Industries, to acquire the company.
Honeywell Transnorm provides industry-standard belt curve technology, serving the airport, postal and parcel, and e-commerce sectors across five continents. Honeywell completed its purchase of Transnorm on November 9, 2018. The agreement was first announced on October 1, 2018, when Honeywell signed a deal to acquire the warehouse automation business from IK Investment Partners for about €425 million (approximately $492 million).
“As demand for warehouse automation continues to grow, driven by e-commerce, labor shortages, and supply chain digitization, WWS is well-positioned to capitalize on these tailwinds,” said Murray Grainger, Partner at AIP. “Built on the strong foundation of the Intelligrated platform, the business combines leading technology, a broad installed base, and longstanding customer relationships. We look forward to partnering with the WWS and Trew teams to create a complementary platform that builds on these strengths and supports the Company’s next phase of growth.”
“Intelligrated and Transnorm are highly respected brands in warehouse automation, built on the strength of their people and long-standing customer relationships,” said Alfred Rebello, Trew CEO. “We are excited to partner with the WWS team to build on these foundations and continue delivering for customers.”
This news marks the latest in a series of strategic moves by Honeywell to streamline its portfolio and refocus on its core operations.
On April 20, 2026, Honeywell announced an agreement to sell its Productivity Solutions and Services business to Brady Corporation, a global manufacturer of identification and protection solutions, for $1.4 billion in an all-cash transaction. Previously, Honeywell divested its personal protective equipment business in 2024 and spun off its advanced materials unit as Solstice Advanced Materials in October 2025.
