China's AI API calls surpass US, driving full-chain inflation in computing power industry

Chinese large models are quickly reshaping the global AI consumption landscape.
The world's largest AI model API aggregation platform OpenRouter released data showing that as of March 15, Chinese AI large models consumed an astonishing 46.9 trillion Tokens in a single week. This marks the second straight week that domestic models have outpaced the US in usage, and for the first time, the top three models globally all come from China.
Token Consumption Surge: From Q&A to Agent
This surge is fueled by the rapid rise of AI Agent applications like OpenClaw. Unlike single-turn Q&A, Agents execute tasks autonomously in a chain reaction:
Consumption Intensity: A typical conversation might use a few thousand Tokens, but a complex Agent task chain can consume tens of thousands or even millions.
Growth Forecast: JPMorgan expects China's AI inference Token consumption to jump from 100 zettatokens in 2025 to 3900 zettatokens in 2030 — a roughly 370-fold increase in five years.
Computing Power Industry Chain: Entering a "Full-Chain Inflation" Cycle
As usage climbs, the domestic computing power chain is seeing a major boom. Gongjin Securities forecasts that the industry will enter a "full-chain inflation" cycle in 2026, with momentum spreading from core chips to AIDC, cloud services, power equipment, and servers.
Cloud service providers have also shifted their business model: from simple "computing power rental" to becoming "workstation providers for Agent digital employees." By offering one-click deployment and price subsidies, key players aim to control the distribution of next-generation AI at the application gateway.
Pioneering Companies: Domestic Computing Power Security and Global Expansion
Amid this computing power windfall, leading firms have already staked their positions:
Qingyun Technology : Its AI computing cloud service "Jishizhiji" has upgraded with the Clawdbot application, creating a secure barrier via a dedicated key system, addressing the top security concerns for enterprise use.
Youke De : As the industry's first vendor to deploy Openclaw images on cloud, it now offers services in overseas nodes including the US, Singapore, and Japan, kicking off a global expansion for domestic AI computing power.
With Chinese models overtaking the US in usage, the domestic computing power chain is entering a golden age of volume and pricing growth. In this Token-driven race, the provider that offers the most stable, secure, and cost-effective "digital workstations" will hold the key to AI commercialization over the next five years.
