Xiaomi 18 Pro Series Launches With Camera-Level Optical Bokeh Powered by End-to-End Large Model
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 18 Pro series will launch on September 23 at 7 PM, featuring two variants: the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max. The standout innovation is the new "Legendary Instant" imaging system, which leverages an end-to-end large model to replicate professional camera bokeh on smartphones. By processing sensor data through cloud-based training on millions of images, Xiaomi achieves optical-quality blur effects.

Hardware upgrades include a dual 200MP Leica imaging system across both models. The setup pairs a 1/1.28-inch main sensor with a 1/1.56-inch telephoto lens, maintaining Leica’s signature color science and tonal aesthetics. The 200MP telephoto lens features a 1/1.56-inch sensor, F2.4 aperture, 75mm focal length, 3.2x optical zoom, and 12.8x lossless zoom, supporting 12cm macro shots. Compared to the previous generation, light intake for long-range shots has increased by 280% on the Pro and 83% on the Max, significantly enhancing low-light performance.
