DingTalk Rebuilds Architecture With AliAI’s MuleRun, Launching Full-Agent Era
DingTalk’s new CEO and head of the Wukong Business Unit, Chen Yusen, revealed a major organizational restructuring in an internal memo issued this afternoon. By creating the Core Platform Business Department and fully merging the AI Agent team, DingTalk is accelerating the intelligent transformation of its enterprise collaboration ecosystem.
This restructuring centers on deeply integrating AI technology into core business operations. DingTalk has officially combined the Wukong and MuleRun teams to form a unified Wukong team, now led by Shu Junliang, the former CTO of MuleRun. MuleRun, an AI Agent product previously developed and led by Chen Yusen within Alibaba Cloud, is now fully integrated into DingTalk, signaling a strategic push toward practical AI agent applications.

Simultaneously, the newly formed Core Platform Business Department, led by DingTalk’s former CTO Zhu Hong (Yisu), now oversees a range of core business functions. To enhance commercialization and technical support, six teams—including direct sales, telesales, and service providers—have been consolidated under the Customer Development Department. Additionally, dedicated Marketing and Information Technology Departments have been established to support these efforts.
