HomeWindows 11 Update Integrates AI Features Across the System
Microsoft is introducing a range of new AI-powered capabilities for Windows 11, featuring Copilot Vision—a tool that scans and understands everything displayed on your screen. These features, now gradually rolling out to all users, include several exclusive tools for Copilot Plus PCs.
Initially, all Windows 11 users in the US can access Copilot Vision via the Copilot app. This AI-driven tool analyzes on-screen content, enabling you to ask questions aloud about open apps and webpages. You can also ask for help with specific computer-related tasks, such as improving photo lighting settings. Microsoft began piloting a more limited version of this functionality last year.
Additionally, Snapdragon-powered Copilot Plus PCs include an AI “agent” within the Settings app. This lets users search for specific settings using natural language, such as “Enable quiet hours” or “Connect a Bluetooth device.” If the AI agent is able to perform the requested task, it will offer to complete it for you.
Microsoft is also enhancing its AI-powered “Click to Do” preview for Copilot Plus PCs. By holding the Windows key and clicking on an app, text, or webpage, you can quickly complete actions like summarizing a highlighted paragraph. The update adds several new commands, such as using Reading Coach to practice pronunciation and fluency, drafting a Word document with Copilot, and scheduling a Teams meeting.

Snapdragon models also gain an AI lighting adjustment in Photos and a “perfect screenshot” feature in Snipping Tool, which uses AI to accurately capture screen content.

The company states these features will be fully deployed “over the next month.” Some are already available in Windows’ latest non-security preview update and as downloadable updates from the Microsoft Store.
