On Thursday, Spotify dropped some big news—they're now rolling out audiobooks narrated with ElevenLabs' AI voice tech. Since ElevenLabs is pretty much a big deal in the AI audio world, this collab is set to pump up the number of AI-narrated audiobooks you'll find on Spotify.
If you're an author looking to get your AI-narrated audiobook on Spotify, here's the drill: snag the file package from ElevenLabs, then head over to Findaway Voices, which is Spotify's go-to for audiobook distribution. After you upload your recording, it's gotta go through a review process before it hits the shelves. And just so you know, Spotify makes it clear which books were narrated by AI.
With ElevenLabs, you can get your audiobook narrated in 29 different languages. The free version lets you do up to 10 minutes of text-to-speech each month, but if you're willing to shell out $99 a month for the Pro plan, you can crank out up to 500 minutes of narration.
