New Roewe i6 Hits Market at 659,000 Yuan, Powered by Snapdragon 8155 and Doubao Large Model
SAIC Roewe today launched the new Roewe i6, a compact sedan that fully adopts the visual language of the Roewe D7. Its distinctive large upright grille and horizontal halo light bar stretch across the front, creating a strong sense of technology and visual width. At the rear, an upturned ducktail spoiler complements the full-width taillights, giving the car a more youthful overall appearance.
The new Roewe i6 measures 4767 mm in length, 1828 mm in width, and 1498 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2755 mm. Thanks to its generous interior space, it qualifies as an A+ segment sedan, offering notable advantages in rear-seat headroom and knee room.

Smart Cabin Upgrade Integrates Doubao AI Large Model
The interior smart upgrades are a key highlight of the new Roewe i6. Its cabin features a clean layout, with a standout 15.6-inch 2.5K floating central control screen. Under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip powers the infotainment system, ensuring fluid performance.
The car deeply integrates the "Doubao Deep Thinking Large Model", enabling more logical multi-round voice interactions that can accurately interpret even vague commands. Interior details have also been refined: the electronic gear shifter frees up the center console area, creating a practical dual-layer storage space. The front seats are power-adjustable and come with ventilation, heating, and driver memory welcome functions, along with a 50W wireless cooled fast charger for smartphones.
Self-Developed Powertrain Balances Performance and Efficiency
Under the hood, the new Roewe i6 features SAIC's self-developed 1.5L aluminum-block direct-injection engine. It uses the same 350-bar high-pressure direct injection technology found in turbocharged engines, producing 95 kW and 158 N·m of torque, mated to a CVT. This combination delivers smooth power delivery and impressive fuel efficiency, with a WLTC combined fuel consumption of just 5.96 L/100 km.
Pricing and Limited-Time Offers
Three configurations are available: Longjiu, Haolong, and Zhenjiu. The official suggested retail prices range from 74,900 to 84,900 yuan, with an attractive limited-time price range of 65,900 to 75,900 yuan.
To make car ownership more affordable, buyers can take advantage of a financing plan of up to 40,000 yuan (24-month zero interest or 60-month low interest), a 4,000 yuan fuel subsidy, and a lifetime warranty on the original factory powertrain. Additionally, customers who place orders before May 5 and lock in their orders by the end of the month will receive a bonus gift of pure gold worth 999 yuan.

I was totally surprised to see the price of 659,000 yuan for this car, it’s almost as expensive as some mid-size SUVs in my country. With Snapdragon 8155 and Doubao Large Model under the hood, it should have great performance, but I wonder if consumers will really be willing to pay that much for a compact sedan.
