Numerous users have noticed that the platform has altered the reset frequency of its intelligent agent service, Codex, tightening what was previously a more user-friendly policy for certain users.
Impact on Free and Basic Subscriptions
Under the latest adjustment, free accounts as well as Go subscription holders on Codex now see their quota reset period extended from every 7 days to once every 30 days. As a result, given the same amount of quota per instance, these user groups can only utilize their allocation roughly three-quarters less frequently each month.
In contrast, higher-tier paid subscribers are unaffected by this change. Users with Plus, Pro, Business, Edu, and Enterprise level accounts continue to experience the original weekly quota reset schedule.
Higher Costs for Engineering-Level Assistant Use
