Google, Gemini Unveil AI Learning Tools Featuring 3D Simulations and Smart Quizzes
Google unveiled a suite of AI-driven educational tools for Search and Gemini, featuring interactive visualizations, 3D simulations, personalized learning hubs, and tailored quizzes, reinforcing Gemini’s role as a study assistant while intensifying rivalry with OpenAI and edtech startups.
Following this update, students can create interactive content via Google Search for intricate subjects. For instance, searching for "pH levels" yields visual charts in the AI overview to clarify core concepts; users can then ask targeted questions to trigger personalized experiences, such as visualizing citrus fruit distribution across the pH scale.

Google has also upgraded Search’s study support, enabling users to generate custom quizzes across science, math, humanities, and languages. For example, requesting "SAT vocabulary practice quiz" produces interactive test materials. Upcoming Google Lens features will allow students to upload study photos for AI-driven explanations, error detection, and problem-solving tips. Search will also generate study guides from uploaded files like PDFs, documents, and slides to help users distill key information.
Regarding Gemini, Google introduced a multi-step research report tool. Users can request topic research, after which the system conducts background analysis, notifies completion, and facilitates voice discussions and follow-up questions via Gemini Live. Gemini can now create functional 3D simulations from text prompts, such as interactive DNA models that support rotation and zooming.
Furthermore, Google will launch a dedicated learning hub within the Gemini app, featuring study notes, flashcards, and practice quizzes. This move underscores Google’s strategy to embed AI in education, with future competition among AI assistants focusing on personalized learning, knowledge comprehension, and efficiency gains.
