Google is rolling out a major interface and feature overhaul for its Gemini app, addressing chat organization, notifications, search filters, and expanded AI agent tools. Beta builds indicate these changes enhance everyday usability while positioning Gemini as a more robust AI hub.
The updated layout relocates pinned chats from the "Recent" list to the top of the sidebar. A unified search bar at the very top streamlines access to past conversations, improving overall navigation efficiency.
Functionally, a prominent bell icon introduces a centralized notification hub. The "Recently Used" section now features four conversation filter tags, including two dedicated to Gemini Spark tasks. Additionally, the Spark management interface has been redesigned with a "Customize" page for discovering skills and managing app connections, alongside status bar icon controls to offer greater personalization.
