Facebook launches AI companion app for creators
Facebook revealed on Wednesday that it is transforming its Creator Studio into a dedicated AI companion app, empowering creators to expand their reach on the platform.
By providing this AI-driven tool, Meta aims to retain creators on Facebook amid intense competition from TikTok and YouTube. The company also expects the app to reduce reliance on external tools like ChatGPT for content ideation and performance analysis.
Currently in testing with select creators, the new app integrates Facebook’s recently launched AI creator assistant. This feature offers tailored suggestions based on content style, performance metrics, audience engagement, and specific goals.

While creators traditionally spend time analyzing charts and dashboards, the AI assistant delivers instant answers to queries such as “When is the best time to post?” and “What are viewers saying in the comments?” Its conversational interface allows for follow-up questions, including tracking audience shifts over time.
In addition to the AI assistant, the updated Creator Studio app introduces several new features, including an AI-powered comment tool that highlights key comments and drafts replies in the creator’s unique voice. Creators can review, edit, and approve these drafts before publishing, according to Facebook.
Upon opening the app daily, users will see a feed of daily priorities: reviewing the performance of their latest post, monitoring progress toward goals, and identifying comments that require a response.

This announcement follows a recent series of app launches by Meta. Last month, the company introduced Forum, a standalone app for Facebook Groups that mirrors Reddit’s functionality. In April, Meta launched Instants, an app allowing users to share ephemeral photos with Instagram friends.
The product pipeline continues to expand. According to The New York Times, Meta is developing a Polymarket-like application internally named “Arena,” though it has not yet been released.
This rapid development pace is intentional. The Wall Street Journal reported in April that CEO Mark Zuckerberg instructed employees that AI-driven efficiencies would enable the company to develop more applications than ever before.
