Baidu Gaokao Service Launches AI Major Selection Report with Real Expert Review

On the afternoon of June 10, Baidu rolled out its upgraded college entrance exam service for this year. Addressing the key challenge of choosing a major, it unveiled an "AI Major Report" and introduced a real-person expert endorsement system. Experienced consultants will review and certify AI-generated reports, and this service remains free for all exam takers.
This feature gathers personal data from test takers through multi-turn conversations with the Wenxin Assistant, and integrates various databases — historical admission scores, university and major details, and career outlooks — to generate tailored major recommendations for each student. On the technology and data side, Baidu's service leverages user search data that reflects real decision-making patterns, along with employment big data developed in partnership with multiple authoritative organizations. Covering over 2,000 majors, the database emphasizes recent graduates and early-career professionals, providing more up-to-date insights than traditional static industry reports.
As a long-standing Baidu initiative, the college entrance exam service has been running for 20 years, serving over 900 million users. This update not only bridges the trust gap that examinees have with purely AI tools — using the "AI + Human Expert" model — but also highlights Baidu's extensive experience in applying large language models to everyday scenarios. At a time when the industry is shifting from "technical experimentation" to "application deployment," Baidu's approach sets a new standard for serious AI use in education planning, backed by an authoritative data and expert feedback loop.
