Redefining workflows and talent
Deloitte’s findings from “AI agents are only the beginning: The path to agentic transformation” reveal dramatic operational shifts expected over the next four years as organizations move beyond pilots toward fully agentic enterprise structures.
Research indicates that 74% of leaders expect nearly half of their business processes to be rebuilt or redesigned around AI agents, while 61% anticipate processes running continuously, powered by real-time agent decisions.
Furthermore, 61% expect AI agents to operate largely autonomously with humans in supervisory roles, and 58% predict agents will autonomously coordinate across functional boundaries to execute complex tasks.
As AI agents handle routine and structured tasks, organizations must prepare for significant operational and talent changes to define the future landscape.
While businesses currently layer agents onto legacy processes for short-term ROI, achieving full cross-functional orchestration requires a multi-year commitment to progressive process redesign.
Speakers at the London summit will address these realities, discussing how businesses can transition smoothly from task-level automation to fully autonomous, multi-agent operations with appropriate governance and human oversight.
