ZTE's Nubia M153 Claims Innovation Award at MWC, AI Pet iMoochi Captivates

At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, ZTE unveiled its 'Empowering the Future' vision, putting its 'Full AI, AI for Everyone' strategy into action. The company demonstrated a complete digital ecosystem, from AI-native smartphones and AI pets to AI cloud computers, illustrating how AI is evolving from a simple tool into a core engine that transforms individual lives and entire industries.
Nubia M153: Setting the Standard for System-Level AI
As a key highlight, the AI-native Nubia M153 Bean Assistant Tech Preview, co-developed by ZTE and ByteDance, made its debut. Its groundbreaking approach to human-computer interaction earned it the prestigious GTI Awards Innovation Prize.
Seamless Cross-App Operations: The Nubia M153 integrates the Bean Assistant directly into its operating system. Users can simply give a voice command like, "Find and book the cheapest restaurant across all platforms," and the phone will automatically launch and coordinate multiple apps to compare prices and complete the booking.
Premium Hardware: Powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage, a 50MP main camera, and a 6000mAh battery, this device leverages software-hardware synergy to fundamentally change how we interact with our phones.
iMoochi: Your New AI-Powered Emotional Companion
Addressing the emotional needs of modern users, ZTE introduced its first AI electronic pet, iMoochi. Moving beyond AI as just a productivity tool, iMoochi is designed as a deeply interactive "emotional companion device."
Lifelike Responses: With an adorable design, iMoochi responds to touch and voice. A gentle pat on the head or a continuous stroke will make it shake its head or wag its tail affectionately.
Evolving Personality: Over time, iMoochi develops simulated biological traits like yawning and sensing temperature, and even has its own unique 'iMoochi language.' It comes with four distinct personality modes, including Hopami and Mimiu, making it a charming and therapeutic presence on the show floor.
Gaming & Ecosystem: From Pro-Level Play to Seamless Connectivity
In the gaming sphere, ZTE's brands showcased their strengths:
Nubia Neo5 Series: The global launch of the Neo 5 GT brought features like an internal active cooling fan system, delivering a flagship gaming experience to a wider audience.
Red Magic Brand: The brand displayed a full suite of high-end professional gaming gear, cementing its reputation in the core gaming market.
