Zhiyuan Robotics' 10,000th Expedition A3 rolls off line, achieving tenfold scale increase in 15 months
AgiBot, a robotics company, recently announced that its 10,000th general-purpose embodied robot, the "Expedition A3," was officially launched on March 28, 2026. This milestone marks a significant breakthrough for the company in moving from research and development to large-scale industrial production within the field of embodied intelligence.
Starting in January 2025, AgiBot achieved a tenfold increase in mass production in just 15 months. Reviewing its capacity growth, it took roughly 11 months to go from 1,000 to 5,000 units, while the jump from 5,000 to 10,000 units took only a few months. This exponential capacity ramp-up not only confirms the company's technical expertise in precision manufacturing and flexible production lines but also suggests that supply bottlenecks for embodied intelligent agents are gradually being resolved.
Peng Zhihui, co-founder, president, and CTO of AgiBot, noted that scaling is one of the most challenging technical hurdles in humanoid robotics. Reaching the 10,000-unit milestone demonstrates the company's broad breakthroughs in manufacturing efficiency, deployment scenarios, data flywheel, and supply chain ecosystem. As production costs drop and hardware reliability improves, humanoid robots are transitioning from lab prototypes to the deeper waters of commercialization.
