The landscape of China’s large language models sees another major upgrade. Zhipu AI today announced the official release and open-sourcing of its new flagship model, GLM-5.2. Deeply optimized for long-range tasks, it offers 1 million tokens of lossless context processing and a significant leap in programming efficiency.
As an open-source model, it uses the highly permissive MIT license. This allows developers and enterprises worldwide to freely download, deploy, and integrate it into commercial projects. Such openness will further accelerate growth in the domestic AI large model ecosystem.
Exceptional Code Capabilities
In a blind test involving over a million users in a front-end development evaluation system, this model achieved the top rank among globally available models. Across multiple international benchmarks, the performance gap between this model and leading closed-source overseas models has narrowed significantly, making it the highest-ranked open-source model currently.
During stress tests, the model exhibited impressive long-text processing and engineering implementation capabilities. It can handle nearly 880,000 words in a single pass, nearly autonomously delivering full application development for websites, mobile apps, and mini programs under peak loads.
Full Compatibility with Domestic Computing Platforms
To promote inclusivity, the model achieved deep compatibility with mainstream domestic computing platforms from day one. It runs smoothly on architectures including Huawei Ascend, Pingtouge, Moerjiance, and Cambrian.
The full model weights are now available for download on major open-source communities. Additionally, Zhipu’s official open platform provides corresponding API interfaces, enabling enterprises to quickly integrate and build their own long-text applications.
