Xiaohongshu Appoints Conan as CEO and Launches AI Division in Major Restructuring
According to a report from Sci-Tech Daily, Xiaohongshu recently announced a significant organizational restructuring in an internal memo to staff. The core of this change is the creation of two new AI-focused divisions: Dots and the Enterprise Intelligence Department. This move signals Xiaohongshu's commitment to deepening its investment in artificial intelligence, both in product development and organizational structure, to adapt to evolving market needs.

Concurrently, Xiaohongshu announced the appointment of Conan (legal name Ding Ling) as President. Conan will oversee the integration of Xiaohongshu's three core business areas—community, e-commerce, and commercialization—and will report directly to the current CEO, Xingyu (legal name Mao Wenchao). Furthermore, Mulan (legal name Qu Fang) will continue in her role as Chairperson of the Board, ensuring stability in the company's governance.
Notably, Xiaohongshu's tech team has recently launched an AI-powered video editing tool named OpenStoryline. Described as an "AI agent," its standout feature is "conversational editing." Users can simply input a text prompt and provide relevant images or video clips to generate video content effortlessly. This innovative product highlights Xiaohongshu's recent advancements in AI technology and points to its strategic direction for future growth.
