Tencent Yuanbao's $1 billion cash red envelope campaign draws over 3.6 billion lottery attempts
Tencent Yuanbao released the data report for its "Distribute 1 Billion Cash Red Packet" event. From its launch on February 1st through February 17th, the red packet campaign drew massive user engagement. Statistics show the main event's total lottery draws surpassed 3.6 billion, while users completed over 1 billion AI tasks via the "Create" feature. Tencent Yuanbao thus reached its self-set "small goal" of 1 billion.
Tencent revealed that users from third- and fourth-tier cities and below were particularly active, accounting for 49% of participants and becoming the backbone of the red packet campaign. The red packet sharing feature also proved popular, with over 34 million people claiming others' shared red packets. Shared red packets were claimed over 210 million times in total, and more than 21 million shared red packets were fully collected by friends.

The AI social feature "Yuanbao Pi" was equally lively. Yuanbao distributed over 11 million lucky red packets, bringing countless surprises to netizens. Notably, 47% of red packet recipients were from third- and fourth-tier cities and below, once again highlighting this group's enthusiasm for the event.
Among all Yuanbao's creation templates, the "Full of Money" template became the most popular across all age groups due to its unique appeal and broad applicability. The "Spring Festival Fortune Character Horse" and "This User Is About to Make Money" templates followed, ranking second and third respectively, adding more fun and variety to users' creations.
