Nintendo's eShop Legacy Fades as Switch 2 Era Dawns

Ahead of the Nintendo Switch 2's launch, the company announced improvements to the eShop for a smoother experience on the new console. Initial tests at The Verge confirm the Switch 2's eShop is significantly better.
On the original Switch, the eShop often feels sluggish. Moving between sections can be laggy, and loading a game's page before purchase sometimes takes noticeable time. These delays and slow navigation make the shopping experience frustrating; many users, including myself, frequently bought digital games on Nintendo's website instead for a more seamless process.
The Switch 2's eShop is much faster. Browsing through sections and loading game pages is noticeably more responsive with far less lag. Check out this side-by-side comparison video of accessing the eShop on both consoles, captured by my colleague Tristan Cooper – the Switch 2's speed is a dramatic improvement:
What about searching for a specific title like Deltarune? Once again, the Switch 2 delivers results much quicker.
"Thanks to the system’s performance capabilities, Nintendo eShop on Switch 2 has been improved and runs smoothly even when displaying a large number of games," Switch 2 director Takuhiro Dohta explained in an April interview. "We believe the act of finding the game you want to play is itself part of the game system experience."
Currently, the eShop stands out as a major upgrade in the Switch 2 experience. This improvement should ultimately make it a better platform for discovering great games.

Ah, finalement !
