StepXun Unveils STEPX Neo, a New Smartphone Powered by Native Intelligent Agent System
On July 13, StepZen hosted the "StepZen Terminal Brand and Next-Generation Agent Strategy Launch Conference," unveiling its latest strategic moves in the AI terminal sector. Key highlights of the event include three major innovations: the native agent operating system Step AOS, the large model-native AI terminal brand STEPX, and its debut smartphone, the STEPX Neo.

At the heart of this launch is Step AOS, an operating system built specifically for agents. It features deep restructuring in hardware scheduling and system resource allocation to ensure robust stability and high-performance support. The system emphasizes three core capabilities:
First, memory capability. Step AOS utilizes a dual-domain, three-step memory architecture that allows agents to deeply understand and retain user preferences. This enables the system to self-iterate through agent domains, delivering a personalized experience that improves with usage—"the more you use it, the better it understands you."

Second, decision-making and execution. Leveraging an edge-cloud multi-brain system, the device dynamically assesses task complexity. It responds instantly to simple requests and engages deep thinking for complex ones. A hierarchical linkage mechanism dynamically allocates models based on cost and speed, enabling seamless capability migration when necessary.
Finally, security. StepZen has implemented a four-dimensional security loop comprising trusted execution, operational auditing, controllable permissions, and a one-click undo feature for accidental actions. This ensures user data remains within secure boundaries while keeping the operation process transparent and traceable.

Integrated with the new NUI (Natural User Interface), users no longer need to follow complex, step-by-step instructions. By simply expressing their intent, the agent autonomously handles the rest. The built-in agent partner, "StepAmoo," evolves into a smarter personal assistant by continuously perceiving the environment and learning user habits.

Simultaneously, StepZen introduced the large model-native AI terminal brand STEPX and its first smartphone, the STEPX Neo. Featuring a distinctive rear horizontal dual-camera setup and a secondary screen, this device represents both a hardware innovation and the initial platform for StepZen’s deep integration of "models, software, and hardware."
StepZen has already partnered with dozens of ecosystem leaders, including WPS, Meituan, Didi, and Gaode. While full technical specifications for the STEPX Neo remain under wraps, the company announced the upcoming "STEPX Imagination Plan." This initiative aims to empower users by handing over terminal definition rights and exploring AI experiences tailored to real-world scenarios.
