Soul to Launch First Portable AI Device, SoulX Model Accelerates Hardware-Software Integration
According to Dujia News, social platform Soul is preparing to release its first portable AI-powered smart hardware product. This device is designed for emotional companionship and will incorporate SoulX, the company's proprietary large language model, bringing voice interaction, emotional expression, and digital life features to the hardware.
The accompanying software application, "YuJian Island - Star Frequency Communication," is already live. Through this app, users can pair the device, customize virtual intelligent agents, and enable full-duplex voice interaction while synchronizing expressions and actions on the hardware screen.

This strategic move signals Soul's transition from a standalone mobile social app to an AI-powered emotional ecosystem that integrates hardware and software. On the technology and application front, dedicated interactive terminals not only shield users from information overload in multitasking scenarios on phones but also deliver a more immersive and continuous companionship experience. Moreover, by offering a highly customizable Avatar ecosystem and persistent memory capabilities, it addresses the limitations of online products in providing long-term, home-based emotional interactions.
While Gen Z demonstrates a strong willingness to pay for online virtual companionship, the actual conversion rate of dedicated hardware and its competitive edge against similar features from major smartphone makers remain to be validated by the market. If this venture succeeds, the integrated hardware-software business model could create a second growth curve for Soul, driving traffic and profitability as it pursues multiple public listing attempts.
