The Shanghai Cyberspace Administration has released the latest filing details for generative AI services. According to the data, 11 new generative AI services were registered in Shanghai this month, bringing the city's total number of approved services to 149.
This initiative reflects Shanghai's ongoing efforts to implement the "Interim Measures for the Management of Generative AI Services," positioning the city as a national leader in fostering AI innovation within a regulated framework.
Among the newly listed services, models developed by leading research institutions have demonstrated strong performance. Shanghai Innovation Institute emerged as a key contributor in this round, with both its "Qichuang-InnoSpark" and "Nex" models successfully completing the filing process. Their inclusion underscores Shanghai's growing expertise in developing core large-scale models and specialized vertical applications.
It is important to note that this announcement further clarified regulatory specifics. In addition to standalone models, the Shanghai Cyberspace Administration, in coordination with relevant authorities, has also registered services that utilize APIs from previously filed models to offer public-facing functions with opinion-based content or social mobilization capabilities.
