Red Magic Game Tablet 5 Pro Gets Official Approval, Features 185Hz Refresh Rate and Deep Doubao AI Integration
The gaming tablet sector is set to welcome a true performance powerhouse. Recent industry reports confirm that the Red Magic Game Tablet 5 Pro, previously slated for a June launch, has officially received certification. This new device pushes hardware boundaries to the limit, introducing an industry-first 185Hz refresh rate alongside 80W fast charging, aiming to redefine the performance standards for gaming tablets.

Designed for hardcore gamers who demand both productivity and entertainment, the Red Magic Game Tablet 5 Pro delivers significant upgrades in visual fidelity and control. It features a 9-inch OLED display with a 2400×1504 resolution. Beyond its groundbreaking 185Hz refresh rate, the screen boasts a peak brightness of 2600 nits and a kilohertz-level touch sampling rate, ensuring exceptional responsiveness and smoothness even during the most intense gaming sessions.
Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 flagship processor, the device is cooled by Red Magic’s dual PC-level cooling system, which combines a self-developed liquid cooling loop with a turbo fan. This extensive cooling surface ensures superior thermal management during extended high-load gaming. Storage options are highly flexible, offering configurations of 12GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, and a top-tier 24GB+1TB variant.

Battery life and gaming-specific features are also key highlights. The Red Magic Game Tablet 5 Pro includes an 8300mAh battery and supports 80W wired fast charging. Notably, it features bypass charging technology, which powers the system directly without routing through the battery, effectively preventing overheating and performance throttling during gameplay. The design retains the iconic transparent back with a Dawn-Fang aesthetic and RGB lighting, available in Silver Wing, Dark Night, and Noble Gold Legend. The device maintains a slim 7.2mm profile and weighs approximately 375g.
Beyond hardware, software integration plays a crucial role in this iteration. The device integrates the Daobao Large Model to enable practical AI features, such as voice-activated game guides, match data analysis, and one-click equipment scheme generation, expanding intelligent interactions beyond traditional gaming. Supported by Red Magic’s proprietary CUBE Qinger gaming engine and a dedicated gaming touch chip, the device offers specialized optimizations for frame interpolation, network stability, and anti-accidental touch. With symmetrical speakers, dual X-axis motors, and a new interface design, overall gaming immersion is significantly enhanced.
Given the global rise in supply chain costs for storage and other components, industry experts predict a price increase for this new gaming flagship. For reference, the previous Red Magic Gaming Tablet 3Pro started at 3999 yuan. The final pricing for this new device will be announced at the official launch event later this month.
