OpenAI's Unreleased GPT-5.6 Leaks with 1.5 Million Token Context
Recently, several developers discovered an unreleased large model—"GPT-5.6"—in the backend logs of OpenAI Codex. This new flagship, internally codenamed "iris-alpha," boasts impressive technical specifications and is expected to launch officially in June this year.

1.5 Million Token Context Window Shatters Records
Among the exposed GPT-5.6 series models, the most striking breakthrough is its ultra-long context window of up to 1.5 million tokens. Compared to the current GPT-5.5 API, the new model's maximum text processing limit has increased by nearly 43%, enabling it to easily handle lengthy contracts, large codebases, and complex multi-step long-term tasks.
Developers tested it using the auxiliary tool OpenCode. Results confirmed that when input data reached 900,000 tokens, the model still responded smoothly and even handled overload requests exceeding 1.05 million tokens without issue. Also uncovered are two mysterious versions named ember-alpha and beacon-alpha, though their specific roles remain unclear.

Commercial-Level Frontend Generation Stuns the Industry
Beyond its powerful text capacity, GPT-5.6 also introduces a revolutionary leap in frontend interface generation. Leaked screenshots reveal that without any detailed prompt, the model directly generated a minimalist note-taking app interface named Lumen Notes.
