Under this program, qualified applicants will gain complimentary six-month access to ChatGPT Pro, featuring the Codex model, generous API quotas, and the newly introduced security-focused tool, Codex Security.
A central feature of this initiative is Codex Security, an advanced AI tool dedicated to code security auditing. OpenAI states the tool is powered by the more capable GPT-5.4 model, providing robust identification of code flaws and vulnerability warnings. Given its technical sophistication and computational demands, access to Codex Security will be carefully reviewed on a case-by-case basis, initially rolling out to a select group of highly influential or security-critical projects.
The program is notably inclusive and ecosystem-aware. Beyond OpenAI's native tools, developers regularly using third-party programming assistants like OpenCode, Cline, or OpenClaw are also eligible to apply.
