OpenAI Unveils GPT-5.6 Sol UltraFast Mode, Delivering 14x Speed Boost with 750 Tokens Per Second
OpenAI has officially released the GPT-5.6Sol UltraFast preview mode for enterprise users, delivering revolutionary performance gains. This new mode accelerates processing speeds by up to 14 times compared to standard operations, generating output at rates of up to 750 tokens per second.
Powered by Cerebras infrastructure, this ultra-fast mode is currently accessible via an application review process to ensure responsible resource allocation. Enterprise clients must submit detailed usage scenarios to OpenAI, with approvals granted based on a comprehensive evaluation of each request.

OpenAI emphasizes that this mode targets high-real-time business use cases rather than general workloads. Key applications include real-time voice interactions, intelligent customer support systems, enterprise business applications, AI agent development, in-depth financial research, and advanced security studies.
As the preview phase advances, Cerebras computing resources will continue to be optimized. OpenAI plans to gradually expand access based on enterprise feedback, enabling more organizations to integrate this high-speed AI capability through API interfaces.
