Nubia has officially confirmed that the NaviX Ultra, recognized as the world’s first AI Agent smartphone, will launch on September 16th at 14:00. Developed through a collaboration between ZTE and ByteDance, the device features the Doubao Mobile Assistant, referred to as the "second generation of Doubao Mobile."
Recent reports indicate that the NaviX Ultra will shift its integration strategy with major super apps like Alibaba and Tencent. Moving away from a GUI-based model that requires screen reading permissions and simulated clicks, the AI agent’s interaction with mobile applications is set to evolve significantly.
Hardware specifications for the new device include the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen5 flagship processor, a 7000mAh silicon-carbon battery, and support for 90W/100W wired fast charging alongside wireless charging. The imaging setup is expected to feature a 50MP main sensor, an ultra-wide lens, and a periscope telephoto lens, complemented by a 50MP front-facing camera.
Announced on September 4th, Nubia and Changxin Memory revealed that the NaviX Ultra will utilize LPDDR5X memory operating at 10667Mbps. Changxin Memory highlighted this as the first mass-produced application of a domestically manufactured LPDDR5X chip at this speed, marking a milestone where domestic mobile DRAM has reached the top tier of commercial standards. Additional key partners for this device include Qualcomm Snapdragon, BOE, Samsung Semiconductor, and Goodix Technology.
