New Products Unveiled at Made by Google ’26: Pixel 11, Pixel Watch 5, Pixel Tag, and Enhanced Gemini Capabilities

During its Made by Google 2026 event held on Wednesday, Google unveiled a range of new products, including the Pixel 11 series, the Pixel Watch 5, and a tracking device designed to compete with Apple’s AirTag. The company also highlighted several new features powered by Gemini across its entire device lineup.

Gemini Gains Greater Utility on Pixel Devices

A significant portion of the event was dedicated to showcasing Gemini and other artificial intelligence capabilities set to arrive on Google’s devices.

One of the most noteworthy accessibility improvements is the expansion of Live Transcribe to support American Sign Language. Users can utilize the Pixel Camera to have sign language translated into written text, offering an alternative communication method for those who prefer not to type.

Google also introduced Rambler, a new voice input feature engineered to better interpret natural speech patterns. Unlike traditional systems that require carefully structured sentences, Rambler can handle run-on sentences, filler words, and less formal speech while still accurately capturing the user’s intent.

There are several smaller but useful additions as well. Circle to Search can now be accessed more directly through the Pixel Camera, enabling users to identify objects, search for items in the distance, translate text, or ask questions about their surroundings without leaving the camera interface.

The standard Pixel 11 features a redesigned camera bar that is thinner than the version found on previous models. Google states that this new bar is over 40% thinner and is constructed from a full glass surface that spans the entire width of the phone. The company has also increased the base storage capacity to 256GB, doubling the starting storage option from previous models.

The launch price for the new Pixel 11 is set at $899, which represents a $100 increase compared to the Pixel 10. This price rise is partly due to the removal of the 128GB storage option, as well as ongoing shortages in RAM supply. The Pixel 11 will be available in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian color variants.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL

Google is placing greater emphasis on durability in its Pro series. The Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL feature improved drop resistance and a new anti-scratch display coating that provides more than twice the scratch resistance of the Pixel 10 Pro models.

The starting price for the Pixel 11 Pro is $1,099, up from $999 for the Pixel 10 Pro. These devices are available in Canyon, Fog, Olive, and Obsidian color options, with the Obsidian variant this year featuring a completely matte finish.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold

Google claims the new foldable smartphone is nearly 10% lighter and almost 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. It also boasts slimmer bezels, a 48-megapixel main camera, and 30x Super Zoom capabilities. The device maintains the IP68 rating for water and dust resistance introduced with the Pixel 10 Pro Fold. Its back cover is now made of a glass-fiber composite material to reduce the risk of cracking, and a redesigned hinge provides additional protection for the internal display. Google states that these enhancements make the new model three times more durable than its predecessor. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is available in Olive and Obsidian color options.

Google Challenges Apple’s AirTag

Google has finally introduced its own tracking device, named Pixel Tag. This compact device is designed to help users keep track of items such as keys, wallets, and luggage. It connects to Android’s Find Hub network, allowing users to locate the tag through the Find Hub app, similar to Apple’s Find My service. The Pixel Tag is priced at $29 per unit or $99 for a set of four, and it can also be tracked from a Pixel Watch. Users of Pixel Buds can instruct Gemini to locate or ring a Pixel Tag, adding a voice-controlled option for tracking purposes.

The Pixel Watch 5 receives several health-related updates. The Google Health app will provide monthly summaries of blood pressure trends, aiming to help users identify patterns over time, as well as monthly summaries of insulin resistance trends. The 41mm version of the Pixel Watch 5 starts at $399, while the 45mm model begins at $429. Google is also offering a Stephen Curry edition priced at $579, featuring a design specifically created for fitness activities. (This model is shown in the image above.) Additionally, the Pixel Buds Pro will be available in a new Olive color option.
