New Leopard Bird iO Series AI glasses set for release, aiming to advance human augmentation technology
On August 18, AR brand Ray-Bird Innovation revealed that the first item from its newly launched “Ray-Bird iO Series” – the iO AI glasses – will make its official debut on August 21 at 14:30. The name “iO” is derived from the computer terminology I/O, which stands for input and output. The company emphasized that this series is designed to represent the next generation of personal smart devices, aiming to use eyeglasses as everyday accessories to foster more natural connections between people and the digital world.

Embedding AI capabilities directly into human capabilities
The brand describes these glasses as “AI glasses designed to enhance human abilities,” noting that their purpose goes beyond simply delivering information. Instead, they are intended to help users see more clearly, remember things better, and communicate more effectively, effectively turning AI into an extension of human potential. The product offers features across three core areas: knowledge acquisition, expressive capabilities, and memory enhancement, providing support in tasks such as gathering information, streamlining communication, and capturing content.
The wearing experience was a key focus throughout the design process. Ray-Bird redesigned the overall structure, optical system, and frame shape of the glasses, integrating the display module into a classic crown-shaped frame. By employing its proprietary light waveguide technology, the display area on the lenses remains virtually invisible, allowing information to appear naturally within the user’s field of view. Combined with thin titanium alloy temples and a retro-inspired frame design, these elements contribute to making the device lighter and more akin to traditional eyeglasses.
During the pre-launch period, spokesperson Jiang Qiming wore the glasses alongside Li Dan and Ke Jie, while Fan Wei also appeared in a fashion shoot for “Shang Cheng Shi.” Jiang Qiming further featured in promotions for the movie “Welcome to Long Restaurant.” Reservations for the new product are now open, with detailed specifications, features, and pricing set to be unveiled on the 21st.
