Moonshot AI Files for HK Stock Exchange Listing as Valuation Soars to $50 Billion

Moonshot AI, a top-tier Chinese AI firm, is fast-tracking its path to public markets. According to LatePost, the company confidentially filed its A1 listing application with the Hong Kong Stock Exchange this week, officially kicking off its Hong Kong IPO. When asked about this significant development, Moonshot AI declined to comment, stating there is no information to disclose. The A1 document serves as the formal application form for companies seeking a main board listing on the HKEX.
Concurrently, Moonshot AI is pursuing a new funding round. Reports indicate the company is raising capital at a pre-money valuation of $50 billion (approx. 336.846 billion CNY), likely its final financing stage before going public. This follows a Series F round in July, which raised over $3.5 billion (approx. 23.579 billion CNY) and pushed the post-money valuation to $35 billion (approx. 235.792 billion CNY). Driven by intense market demand, the final amount exceeded initial targets by more than three times, allowing the round to close ahead of schedule.
Earlier rumors suggested Moonshot AI would file for a Hong Kong listing in August, aiming to raise approximately $3 billion. The company previously dismissed these reports as false. However, with the recent confirmation of its confidential filing, the capitalization journey of this AI unicorn has once again captured industry attention.
