Meta Unveils Next-Gen AI Glasses Starting at $299 with 26 Styles and Enhanced Multimodal AI
On June 23, Meta unveiled a deep partnership with global eyewear leader EssilorLuxottica, launching the new Meta Glasses series. As Meta's first AI hardware natively equipped with the Muse Spark multimodal large model, this release marks a significant upgrade in form and capability for all-day edge AI assistants.
The Meta Glasses series launches at $299, offering three frame styles: Meta Adventurer (standard and large), Meta Fury, and a slim oval design by Kylie Jenner. It comes in 26 combinations of colors, lenses, and frames, fully supporting prescription lenses.

The series features a three-way adjustable nose bridge, with a single charge delivering over 8 hours of battery life. When used with a portable folding charging case that provides four additional charges, total battery life reaches up to 40 hours. Hardware includes dedicated operation buttons, open-ear dual speakers, and advanced microphone arrays, supporting high-fidelity audio, hands-free gesture photography, and intelligent noise-canceling calls.
The biggest technological highlight of Meta Glasses is the underlying computing power from the first dedicated model developed by Meta Superintelligence Labs - Muse Spark . Based on this model, the new Meta AI boasts strong multimodal understanding, providing not only accurate daily schedule management, sports scores, and local lifestyle recommendations but also gesture and visual interaction.
Additionally, Meta announced the launch of the "Dynamic Photo" multi-frame smart recommendation feature this month and plans to soon introduce screenless pedestrian and navigation alerts. It will also expand real-time translation languages to include 14 languages, such as Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Hindi, and Korean. Currently, the model's capabilities have been rolled out to Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta users in the United States and Canada.
Currently, Meta Glasses are available on Meta.com , Amazon, Best Buy, and designated retail channels. Industry analysts believe that from early collaborations with Ray-Ban and Oakley to the deepened partnership with EssilorLuxottica, Meta is accelerating the push of AI glasses into the mainstream consumer market through the cross-industry blend of fashion and technology. The launch of Meta Glasses not only enriches the smart wearable ecosystem but also, with its deeply integrated edge multimodal AI capabilities, provides a highly reference-worthy hardware prototype for the next generation of human-computer interaction.
