Previously, system monitoring for AMD platforms in Linux was largely confined to CPU cores, while motherboard chipset temperature data was often inconsistent across different hardware vendors. The new driver consolidates this data into the Linux Hardware Monitoring (HWMON) subsystem, ensuring seamless compatibility with existing monitoring tools. As a result, users can monitor chipset status in real time using native system tools without installing any third-party software.
