Kimi partners with American Express and Agricultural Bank to launch first AI-native credit card
On July 10, the Kimi Credit Card—the world’s first AI-native credit card—was officially launched, as reported by the People's Daily. Developed jointly by Kimi, American Express, and China Agricultural Bank, the initiative began in April, opened for reservations on June 12, and concluded its partnership negotiations. As the first consumer card integrating AI services into its core rewards system, this launch marks a pivotal step in embedding AI large models into the financial ecosystem, paving the way for intelligent payments and new models of AI computing power consumption.

The card’s primary innovation lies in creating a “consumption as productivity” value loop. Cardholders can exchange daily spending points for Kimi membership benefits at an 80% discount, with a redemption ratio of 1000:1 in the points mall and up to 50% redeemable via points. Each transaction converts into Kimi computing power quotas or can be directly used to exchange for Agent usage quotas and advanced feature permissions. Looking ahead, the three partners plan to deepen their collaboration, exploring cutting-edge scenarios such as automated payments by intelligent entities, credit limits linked to Token quotas, and the bidirectional integration of points and computing power.
From a market strategy standpoint, American Express targets white-collar professionals, cross-border experts, and business elites—key demographics for productivity-focused AI services. By leveraging American Express’s global financial network, Kimi aims to significantly reduce customer acquisition costs in international markets and accelerate its global user expansion. This cross-industry collaboration between “AI + finance” not only introduces differentiated digital asset benefits to the traditional credit card sector but also establishes a new traffic entry point and monetization model for the commercialization of large language models.
