Jensen Huang’s Nvidia GTC 2026 keynote: How to watch and what to expect

Nvidia begins its annual GTC developer conference in San Jose, California, on Monday, with CEO Jensen Huang's keynote at 11 a.m. PT / 2 p.m. ET.

GTC, short for GPU Technology Conference, is Nvidia's premier annual event, held from March 16 to March 19. The chipmaker typically uses this platform to unveil new products, highlight partnerships, and outline its vision for the future of computing. Huang's keynote will center on Nvidia's role in the future of computing and AI. Attendees can watch the two-hour address in person at the SAP Center or stream it live on the event's website.

The three-day event explores the next wave of AI across industries such as healthcare, robotics, and autonomous vehicles.

On the software front, rumors suggest Nvidia will unveil an open-source platform for enterprise AI agents called NemoClaw, as first reported by Wired. This platform would provide businesses with a structured approach to building and deploying AI agents—software capable of autonomously performing multistep tasks—and position Nvidia to compete with similar offerings from companies like OpenAI.

On the hardware side, Nvidia is also rumored to be launching a new chip designed to accelerate the AI inference process—the phase where an AI model applies its learned knowledge to generate responses or make decisions, as opposed to the training phase, which requires significantly more computing power. Faster and cheaper inference is widely regarded as one of the last major barriers to widespread AI deployment. This chip would represent Nvidia's latest effort to dominate not only the training market, where it already holds an estimated 80% share, but also the inference market, where competition from custom chips built by Google, Amazon, and others is rapidly intensifying.

A variety of partnership announcements and demonstrations will also showcase Nvidia's AI capabilities across different industries.

Kevin Cook, a senior equity strategist at Zacks Investment Research, told TechCrunch that attendees should also expect insights into Nvidia's plans regarding its relationship with Groq, the inference company Nvidia reportedly paid $20 billion to license its technology late last year. There is significant curiosity about this partnership, especially since Jonathan Ross, Groq's founder; Sunny Madra, Groq's president; and other members of the Groq team have agreed to join Nvidia to help advance and scale the licensed technology.
