iFLYTEK Unveils Spark X2.5 General Large Model

On September 1, iFlytek will open-source two edge-focused large language models, Xinghuo X2.5-4B and Xinghuo X2.5-1.7B, according to the latest official announcement. Both models natively support a context window of up to 1 million tokens. They deliver substantial enhancements in key areas including intelligent agent interaction, mathematical reasoning, and general comprehension, providing robust support for edge applications such as in-vehicle systems, smart devices, and IoT ecosystems.
Following the release of these edge models, iFlytek plans to launch the 293B-parameter Xinghuo X2.5 base model on September 7. This version will further advance core technologies like code generation and multi-agent collaboration. During the company’s 2026 mid-year briefing, it was announced that a new flagship general-purpose large model, built entirely on domestic computing infrastructure, will be unveiled at this year’s Global 1024 Developer Festival, reinforcing the push for independent innovation in foundational technologies.
