Recently, acclaimed science fiction writer and Hugo Award winner Hao Jingfang disclosed in a media interview that artificial intelligence contributed to roughly half of her latest children's sci-fi series, "Galaxy Academy," published this year. The revelation immediately sparked intense online debate and spread rapidly across social platforms.
Interestingly, Hao noted that her publisher's editors had previously praised the book's quality, even repeatedly complimenting her writing this year. She also admitted that after release, ordinary readers found it nearly impossible to distinguish which parts were AI-generated.

After the news broke, the topic quickly climbed to the top of Weibo's trending list, drawing widespread attention across society. Public responses varied widely, with online opinion quickly becoming polarized.
Many netizens opposed to the idea expressed disappointment, arguing that such heavy reliance on technology meant writers had "abandoned their pens." However, supporters held a completely different view, seeing it as a major industry step forward when a writer openly admits to using AI-assisted creation.

In fact, as a PhD in Economics from Tsinghua University and founder of Tongxing Academy, Hao Jingfang has always actively embraced technology. In 2016, she won the 74th Hugo Award for Best Novella with her critically acclaimed work "Beijing Folding."
