Google Enhances AI Mode with Flight and Hotel Booking Across 300+ Platforms
On August 27, Google unveiled major enhancements to its conversational search feature, "AI Mode," introducing tools for flight price tracking, hotel booking support, and rewards redemption calculations. This update signals Google's push to transform AI Mode into a comprehensive travel agent, moving beyond simple queries to handle full itinerary planning and transaction execution.

Users can now enter their travel dates and destination in AI Mode to receive real-time pricing and recommendations from over 300 airlines and travel sites. The system supports itinerary creation and price tracking alerts, sending notifications for price changes across more than 180 countries and regions worldwide.
For hotel bookings, AI Mode suggests accommodations based on user preferences and reviews. It seamlessly redirects users to partner platforms like Booking.com, Expedia, Marriott, and Hilton via the "Continue on Google" interface, allowing payments through Google Pay while keeping order management with the respective booking platform.

Furthermore, global users can now use natural language to query the exact value of redeeming flights or hotel stays using airline miles or loyalty points. By integrating generative AI with commercial transactions, this strategic shift redefines the travel decision-making process, evolving search into an intelligent agent capable of closed-loop execution.
