Fractile Lands $250M Anthropic Deal, Valuation Jumps 6x to $6.5B

Fractile, a prominent new entrant in the AI semiconductor sector, has launched a substantial capital raise. The startup is targeting approximately $600 million in funding, establishing a pre-money valuation of $6.5 billion. Industry insiders report that Fractile’s valuation stood at roughly $1 billion during its previous funding round in May, marking a more than sixfold increase in just a few months.
This rapid valuation surge stems from a landmark commercial agreement. Fractile has entered into a strategic partnership with Anthropic, committing to supply $250 million worth of AI chips. Both firms intend to deepen their collaboration, with the relevant chips projected for a 2027 launch based on current development timelines.
Founded in 2022, Fractile specializes in AI inference chip architecture. Its proprietary technology focuses on drastically cutting inference latency for generative AI and complex problem-solving. By optimizing performance, Fractile aims to carve out a distinct niche in the AI chip market, challenging the longstanding dominance of industry giants Intel and Nvidia.
