Enterprise WeChat Tests AI Agent 'Dayuan' to Boost Office and Customer Management

Following the phased rollout of WeChat's AI assistant "Xiaowei," Tencent is now pushing deeper into AI agents. Enterprise WeChat has recently launched an internal trial of its own AI agent, called "Dayuan." Built natively into the Enterprise WeChat environment, this assistant moves beyond the constraints of standalone chatbot tools available today.
In practice, users can bring up "Dayuan" by swiping left on the Enterprise WeChat interface, and it automatically identifies the active screen. Drawing on Enterprise WeChat's extensive work data—including group chats, documents, meetings, emails, and calendars—"Dayuan" interprets user intent to offer one-click group chat summaries, extract key takeaways from dense reports, and auto-generate responses.
This move targets more than internal office efficiency—it signals Tencent’s broader ambition in customer management. Leveraging the built-in link between Enterprise WeChat and WeChat, "Dayuan" can parse and structure unstructured conversations among sales teams, customer service agents, and clients. It turns these into reusable customer profiles, follow-up summaries, and actionable business insights, addressing the heavy reliance on manual workflows that has long plagued private-domain traffic operations.
According to publicly available figures, Enterprise WeChat now connects over 14 million verified businesses and organizations, serving more than 750 million WeChat users each day. Within this vast ecosystem, the introduction of "Dayuan" positions Enterprise WeChat as one of the few AI agent platforms that bridge both "work data" and "customer connections." This accelerates AI’s shift from basic collaborative office tools into deeper commercial applications.
