China's AI Large Models Surpass U.S. in Weekly Usage, Claim Top Four Globally
According to recent data, global AI large language models surged dramatically last week, with 36.1 trillion tokens consumed — marking seven consecutive weeks of growth. Amid this wave of AI enthusiasm, Chinese models have emerged as a clear standout.
Weekly usage of Chinese AI models reached 14.19 trillion tokens last week, a 27.49% increase over the previous week. Meanwhile, usage of US models declined. China has now held the global lead in usage for six straight weeks.

Domestic Models Claim Top Four Spots
In the global usage rankings, Chinese domestic models occupy the top four positions. DeepSeek-V4-Flash continues to lead, holding the top spot for three consecutive weeks.
Second place remains with Tencent Hy3 preview, also steady for three weeks. The newly released MiniMaxM3 has become the biggest surprise, entering the global top three in its debut week thanks to strong coding capabilities and an ultra-long context window.
Market Structure Undergoing Change
As domestic models rise across the board, the US-based Claude series — once a key player in the developer ecosystem — has seen a notable drop in shipments. Its flagship models have fallen out of the top five, with weekly usage declining sharply.
Looking at overall manufacturer performance, Chinese companies like DeepSeek and MiniMax show extraordinary dominance. Driven by technological innovation and high cost-effectiveness, Chinese large models are reshaping the global AI market competition landscape at an accelerating pace.
