Apple Reportedly Developing Three AI Wearables Including Smart Glasses
According to foreign media reports, Apple is fully advancing the development of three AI-powered wearable devices: AI smart glasses, AI pins or pendants, and AI AirPods equipped with cameras. These products are designed to seamlessly connect with iPhones and deeply integrate with the more intelligent version of Siri currently in development.
It is reported that all three new devices will feature built-in cameras, enabling the AI to "understand" the wearer's surroundings and provide instant responses to related inquiries.

Among them, Apple's smart glasses are positioned as strong competitors to Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses. Apple has already provided prototypes to its hardware engineering team, targeting a 2027 launch with production potentially starting as early as December 2026. The glasses will feature an advanced camera system, including a high-resolution camera for photos and videos, as well as a dedicated camera to supply visual information and environmental data to Siri. This will allow Siri to interpret the user's surroundings and measure distances. Notably, Apple's smart glasses will not include a display screen—instead, they will interact with users through voice commands, supporting functions like making calls, listening to music, capturing photos, and recording videos. Additionally, the glasses may incorporate visual intelligence capabilities such as reading printed text and adding events to the calendar, along with context-aware reminders and real-time translation services. In terms of materials, Apple is committed to using premium components to deliver a high-end feel, distinguishing its product from Meta’s offerings.
Meanwhile, Apple's development of the AI pin or pendant is still in its early stages but has already drawn considerable attention. This device could debut as early as 2027 and will include a low-resolution camera for visual perception—though not for taking photos or videos. A built-in microphone will enable interaction with Siri, while most processing will be handled by the iPhone. The AI pin may also incorporate a speaker for two-way communication and can be attached to clothing or bags using a clip or pendant. Apple plans to market it as an iPhone accessory rather than a standalone product.
In the audio segment, Apple is also exploring new innovations. The development of AI-enabled AirPods with a camera is moving forward at a relatively fast pace, with a potential launch as early as this year. Similar to the AI pin, the AirPods will include a low-resolution camera intended for information retrieval, not photography.
