The AI security landscape is evolving rapidly. According to tech journalist Alex Heath, Anthropic is set to officially release the public version of its cybersecurity model, Mythos , tomorrow.
Anthropic first unveiled Mythos in April, initially restricting access to rigorously vetted institutions. This broader release marks a significant step toward widespread application. To ensure safety in the public domain, Anthropic will deploy this version under the name "Fable5," incorporating enhanced security protocols into its core design.
Functionally, the public Mythos differs from the previous internal "Glasswing" (Project Glasswing) partner version by restricting network operations. This limitation is designed to prevent potential misuse within a more open ecosystem.
Despite these permission adjustments, the public Mythos retains robust performance. The model has been optimized for long-term, multi-step tasks, enabling efficient execution of complex workflows. This capability makes it highly versatile for network threat detection and security audits, which demand deep logical analysis.
