Anthropic May Boost Claude Code Quota by 50 Percent as Part of Long-Term Plan
Anthropic has extended the temporary 50% increase in Claude Code’s weekly usage limit, originally set to expire on August 19, until August 31. The company is also considering making this adjustment a permanent feature of its subscription plans.
On July 19, Anthropic announced a 50% boost to the weekly usage limits for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Seat-based Enterprise subscribers, responding to the rising demand for Claude Code among developers.
The usage quota applies to web conversations, desktop Claude, and Claude Code. Since the weekly limit is shared across all these platforms, switching models does not allow users to bypass their consumed quota. This extension ensures that affected users retain additional usage capacity through the end of August.
