Anthropic Launches Claude Series on Microsoft Foundry, Hosted on Azure Cloud

Anthropic's Claude family of large language models is now fully accessible on Microsoft Foundry, hosted within the Azure cloud environment. This partnership allows enterprise customers to leverage Claude models directly through their existing Azure accounts, reusing Microsoft's established identity management, network configuration, and governance systems. This simplifies procurement and compliance while consolidating Claude usage into Azure billing.
Functionally, the service supports Claude's core features like prompt caching and extended thinking, and also allows customers to select data residency regions to meet regional compliance requirements.
This model infrastructure runs on the NVIDIA Blackwell Ultra system, delivering the computing power needed to efficiently handle complex reasoning and multi-step tasks. Several companies, including Bolt and Momentic, have already built production systems on this service. Gary Ballabio, Vice President at Bolt, noted that Azure's reliability and security are essential foundations for enterprise application deployment.
This development marks a significant step for Anthropic's enterprise market expansion and further diversifies Microsoft's AI model ecosystem. By combining advanced model quality with NVIDIA's cutting-edge infrastructure, this integration offers a new paradigm for global enterprises accelerating their shift to production-grade AI performance.
