Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi Unveils AI Payment Service for Agent Economy
During the Alipay AI Payment Ecosystem Conference held on May 26, Ant Group CEO Han Xinyi emphasized that while the core of business remains constant in the AI era, intelligent agents are redefining operations. Leveraging 22 years of technological expertise, Alipay has developed a new AI payment service designed to accelerate the growth of this emerging business ecosystem.

According to Han Xinyi, the fundamental nature of business and AI’s role in serving people remain unchanged in the agent economy. However, payment interactions now shift from humans to AI agents, with computing power scheduling ensuring service continuity and seamless transactions. As service scenarios become increasingly fragmented, micro-payments have emerged as a critical requirement. AI payments are expanding into areas like content consumption and data authorization, significantly reducing transaction costs and unlocking the long-tail economy. This evolution transforms payment into a central hub for value scheduling, facilitating the circulation and conversion of multi-dimensional digital assets.
Positioning itself as a connector and enabler in the Agent era, Alipay introduced the world’s first Token Pay service and AI wallet at the conference. Combined with its previously launched AI Pay and AI Receive features, these innovations complete Alipay’s full-stack AI-native payment system for the AI era.
Recent data highlights that after surpassing the milestones of one billion users and one billion payment transactions, Alipay’s payment volume for intelligent agents has reached 3 billion. Supporting 95% of general AI agent frameworks, Alipay stands as the world’s first large-scale commercial AI-native payment infrastructure.
