By merging the formerly separate Prime Games, Amazon Game Studios, and Luna cloud gaming into one unified entity, the company intends to eliminate previous departmental silos and better target the world's largest consumer entertainment market.

Under the new structure, Amazon has implemented a clear dual‑track platform development strategy. Luna serves as the core gaming platform, while Amazon Game Studios handles content development and publishing. This approach is often compared to Microsoft Xbox's platform‑and‑studio collaboration model.
On the content front, Amazon is moving away from its previous emphasis on hardcore MMO players and instead targeting a wider audience with casual and party games. One example is a recently released cloud‑based party game that cleverly incorporates generative AI and enlists rapper Snoop Dogg as an AI referee. Players can join using just a smartphone as a controller.
Media and Gaming Integration and the 007 Universe Ambitions
While focusing on lightweight AI party games, Amazon hasn't abandoned its AAA ambitions. The company currently has 10 to 15 games in development, nearly 40% of which are high‑budget titles. Executives have stated that the line between TV and gaming will eventually blur, and every major film IP should have its own game story.
