Alipay and OPPO Partner for Cross-Device Smart Services Powered by Abao and Xiaobu
On July 15, Alipay unveiled a cross-device interconnection partnership with OPPO, enabling bidirectional integration between its AI agent Abao and OPPO's smartphone assistant Xiaobu. This collaboration marks a deep fusion of on-device AI assistants with major service ecosystems. OPPO users can now bypass opening the Alipay app entirely, directly delegating tasks to Abao through Xiaobu's voice interface, which significantly streamlines the process from intent recognition to service delivery.
Functionally, the initial partnership integrates nearly 200 lifestyle services, covering common scenarios like watching movies, dining out, traveling, and managing social security, housing funds, and pensions. Once users activate Xiaobu by voice, Abao automatically identifies the relevant services and handles the initial steps in the background. Some services support silent background execution with proactive notifications, while critical payment and authorization steps still require user confirmation.

On the technical side, the integration requires specific system versions. Users must update ColorOS to version 16, Xiaobu Assistant to version 12.8.4, Alipay to version 12.12.1, and have an intent execution framework of version 16.1.8 or later.
This initiative represents a significant step in exploring AI Agent (intelligent agent) deployment on devices. By leveraging a multi-dimensional risk control and device-cloud decoupling architecture, it broadens the collaboration between hardware and applications while safeguarding financial privacy, setting a benchmark for future cross-platform AI-native application ecosystems.
